Water

Situated in the heart of Scotland – water isn’t in short supply, however we still don’t take our water supply for granted. After all water accounts for some 94-95% of most beers. When we moved from Dollar to Alva we continued with the same water supply, this was very important to us.

Our water supply is of a very pure quality and is well suited to our styles of beer. There are times when chemistry is important and this is one. As the saying goes ‘old chemists never die – they just fail to react!’
